Changes are a’comin at Cold Spring Farm!
And just in time for the Autumn season! We are thrilled to catch you up on what’s been happening here! Thanks to your dedicated support this year, we’ve been better equipped to deal with the changes COVID-19 has brought our way. We are hoping you like what you see because we love it when you love what you get! :-)
Our Farm Stand continues to be OPEN every day of the week, every day of the year! We’ve been sneaky! We’ve made a few quick changes while you were shopping, or in-between shoppers, requiring a bit of patience from you as we steal a few minutes to restock here and there. If you haven’t been by the Farm Stand recently, it’s worth the trip! We promise!
One big change was adding a glass door refrigerator and freezer so you can see every single goodie available without opening it. This makes your lives simpler, and it conserves energy. We have also changed the layout of our Farm Stand, making it more user-friendly with improved signage and labeling. By making these changes, we have also been able to expand our space, therefore our offerings, including more locally made products for you to enjoy. Our goal is still to make this place one-stop shopping with only the best local foods and artisan products available because we know the convenience and safety of local shopping makes a big difference in the quality of our lives.
Inside the Farm Stand, some of our new products include skin and beauty care products, all-natural cleaning supplies, baked goods (loaves of bread, pies, pumpkin rolls, & more), both pasteurized and raw milks, chocolate milk, half-n-half, and heavy cream from area dairy farms, as well as cannoli kits in the freezer section, some delicious farm products from other local farms, and so much more! You’ll definitely have to swing by and check it out because the list is ever-expanding, and will continue to grow as we get into the cooler weather seasons.
We also hope you don’t think the produce stops simply because it’s getting colder. We are a year-round farm and have added even more winter growing spaces and winter storage for seasonal crops to our expanding repertoire! We will keep on producing, keep on growing, and doing what we do to be sure your needs are met this Winter season. Keep coming back — you’ll find more here each time you stop in to shop! EVERYTHING YOU NEED IS HERE. If it isn’t, tell us! We’d love your input!
When you do get out to the Farm Stand, please remember we are still practicing COVID-19 protocol as we want this to be a safe space for everyone. We continue to ask our customers to enter the Farm Stand wearing a mask, one family at a time. We continue to disinfect and clean the Farm Stand every day. This helps both us and our customers feel safe, and so we will continue this practice for as long as it takes. These are unique times and we are so grateful for your help in navigating them.
Other changes at the Farm include a brand-new, wider driveway with recycled millings as well as split rail fencing that guides folks to the Farm Stand parking area. We are loving the way this looks and are glad to finally be able to get this done. It truly makes a difference and compliments the growing aesthetic quality of this old farm! It’s always a step at a time. We are on our way, bit by bit.
As always, we will continue to support local business owners by bringing in their products to fill-out our Farm Stand, making the best selection available to you year-round. We will continue to safely host community farmers’ markets, special pop-ups, and holiday events. Even in these times, we are here for you and happy to do what it takes to give you access to fresh, healthy food and wonderful products. We are dedicated to building a strong local economy and we appreciate your support in the work we do. It truly takes all of us to make it happen. Every dollar is a vote and we appreciate the way you dedicate yourselves to this cause.
Cold Spring Farm is always adjusting to the times, finding new ways to adapt and navigate while meeting the mission of putting the ‘culture’ back in agriculture. We have found that supporting local is not only healthiest and best on all levels, but it feels damn good, too. We think you’ll agree! We promise to continue making improvements and to keep building the culture with the dollars you spend here. We really can’t do it without you. We are so grateful for your support every day. THANK YOU!
With Love,
Your Farmers, Jess & Jeff
